When you support United Way Fox Cities with a gift to the annual campaign, you know that your donation will help people in our community throughout the current year. But you may not be aware that there is another way to contribute which can ensure that your spirit of caring will continue to touch the community for many years to come: planned giving.
There are several ways to make a planned gift to United Way Fox Cities. You can donate to one of United Way's existing endowment funds. The Legacy of Caring Fund, established in 1995 through a very generous bequest from the estate of Glen McIlroy, allows your gift to work continuously to support local human services. The United Way Fox Cities Administrative Fund, created by Theda Clark Smith Family Foundation to provide funding for children and needy families, helps offset the cost of operating United Way Fox Cities to ensure our continued ability to help those groups. Other planned giving options include bequests by will, real estate, IRAs and retirement plans, life insurance and stocks.
A planned gift to United Way Fox Cities may even provide financial and tax advantages for you. Your professional advisor can help you determine the best way to make a planned gift.
